With the theme A Collection: Olle Bonniér and C.O. Hultén, Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 takes us straight into Swedish modernism. We find ourselves in the mid-20th century, where we encounter Olle Bonniér and C.O. Hultén. The former studied at Tekniska Skolan and was a pupil at Isaac Grünewald’s painting school. The latter was a self-taught force who, during the 1940s, absorbed influences from both Surrealism and Informal art. During the following decade, both artists shifted into a higher gear and took their place in earnest on the Swedish art scene.

At Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 we are presented with works dating from the 1940s up to a mixed-media piece by Olle Bonniér from 1975. In total, 18 works are offered, together forming something like a glimpse into Swedish post-war modernism.
