Swedish and international modern art from the early 20th century onwards. At its centre is Sigrid Hjertén’s “Badscen (Badstranden och skuggan)” (“Bathing Scene (The Beach and the Shadow)”) from 1918, shown alongside works by Pablo Picasso, Man Ray, Bror Hjorth, Carl Kylberg and Ragnar Sandberg.

The Modern Art Sale presents

Sigrid Hjertén is one of the foremost names of Swedish modernism, and one of her most significant paintings is now coming under the hammer. The work will be offered at The Modern Art Sale on November 18, with an estimate of SEK 6–8 million.
