Christina Schollin – The big red house

Christina Schollin needs no introduction. But if a brief one is called for, she is among our most prominent actors – on stage as well as on screen. In the 1961 film Änglar, finns dom? she starred opposite Jarl Kulle. In the 1970s she was a regular guest in Hagge Geigert’s revues, and in the second half of the 1980s Swedes loved to hate her character Margareta Öhman in the TV series Varuhuset.

In 1966 she was awarded a Guldbagge for Best Actress for Ormen – berättelsen om Iréne. That same year she turned down a role in a film with Elvis Presley. And as recently as 2022 she played the Queen in Dramaten’s production of Macbeth.

She is now selling some fifty beautiful objects from Det stora röda huset. The villa is officially named Björkhaga but was immortalised in music history by Benjamin Ingrosso as Det stora röda huset – The Big Red House.
