Stockholms Auktionsverk Presents

The Asian Fine Art Sale

This spring, The Asian Fine Art Sale presents a carefully curated selection of interesting and high-quality Asian art and works of art. Comprising more than 230 lots, the sale spans over 1,000 years — from the Song dynasty to the 20th century — with a particular emphasis on China, while also featuring objects from Japan, India, Mongolia, Thailand and Korea.

From the private collection of the legendary collector and dealer Nils Nessim (1916–1974) comes an imposing Buddha Dipankara, created during the Ming dynasty, more precisely in the 15th or early 16th century. Also standing out like a burst of spring colour is the magnificent pea-green incense burner bearing the Jiaqing mark, which was most likely produced during the period.
