The Prints & Editions Sale
This autumn, The Prints & Editions Sale comprises 200 works from the history of Western printmaking, from Lucas Cranach’s early 16th-century woodcut to Damien Hirst in the 21st century. In between are internationally renowned artists such as Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
The auction also features an unusually large selection of works by the Estonian artist Eduard Wiiralt. Among them are his highest-priced print, ‘Põrgu’ (Hell), the rare ‘Naine sigaretiga’ (Woman with a Cigarette) and the expressive woodcut ‘Absindijoojad’ (The Absinthe Drinkers), printed in colour.
The sale offers both prints for the personal home and rare collector’s items. It is an opportunity to acquire works by some of the most significant artists at attractive price levels.
