Stockholms Auktionsverk presents

The Signature Sale

The Signature Sale opens the autumn live auction season with a broad selection of modern and classical art, decorative arts and design. The catalogue brings together both established names and works that offer the opportunity to discover new artists and designers.

The art selection includes works by Swedish and international artists, including Erik Haamer, Oscar Bergman, Ragnar Sandberg, Isaac Grünewald, Ernst Billgren, watercolours by Jenny Nyström, Nils Kreuger’s French street scenes, Robert Rauschenberg, Arman and Herbert Gentry’s abstract compositions. The auction also features two watercolours by Lars Lerin that have attracted considerable media attention. The works are based on photographs taken by astronaut Marcus Wandt during his 21 days aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The proceeds from the sale of the two works will be donated in full to UNHCR’s efforts to support people displaced by the war in Ukraine.

The decorative arts selection includes rugs from, among others, Tabriz and Heriz, as well as works by Märta Måås-Fjetterström and Ingegerd Silow. Furniture and design are also represented, including a Josef Frank armchair with footstool, an elegant floral-decorated cabinet by Erik Chambert and a Gustavian console table.

Among the smaller objects are vases by Hans Hedberg in high-fired faience, alongside fine Swedish silver dating from the 17th century onwards.

With its great breadth and carefully selected objects, The Signature Sale offers something for both the experienced collector and the curious newcomer. Welcome to our viewing, where you can discover your own favourites among fascinating works of art, decorative arts and classic design icons.
