2024. A Korean Bronze Bowl and Cover.

The hemispherical vessel is of a minimalist form, resting atop an attached foot, domed lid topped with a small knob finial. Period: Koryo (also Goryeo) dynasty, c. 13th century. Height c. 14.5 cm.

Provenance:
Swedish private collection, purchased during the second half of the 20th century.

Probably used by beggars to request small donations of money, food, or other items.
