Contemporary gilt English calf bindings (by J. Keymer ?), gilt tooled decor and engravings on boards, richly gilt spines in compartments, some joints cracking, slightly rubbed, engravings faded on part I. Some slight browning to text. 2 volumes.

A rare example of binding with both sides decorated by transfer from the engraved plates printed in the volumes. Images on vol. I is very indistinct and the method appears to have been used rarely.
