Covers with minor damages to spine extremities, some soiling. Plate 53 (1922) with partly removed paper label in bottom margin.
Gazette du Bon Ton was founded in 1912 and published to and including 1925, though not issued during World War I, so the year 1920 is called "3e année". It was an exclusive alternative to publications like Les Modes, Vogue and Harper´s Bazaar, employing artists and authors from the more avant-garde end of the cultural spectrum. The pochoir plates are known for their beauty and decorative effects and have been collectibles almost since the publishing stopped in 1925.
