FRENCH MAGAZINE TRES PARISIEN WITH POCHOIR ILUSTRATIONS.
7 issues of the French fashion magazine Trés Parisien with pochoir covers and 123 tipped-in pochoirs on tissue papper, many heightened with gold and silver. Paris, G.-P. Joumard, 1927-1931.
The issues are No 11/1927, No 1/1928, No 2/1928, No
3/1928, No 4/1928, No 5/1928 and No 3/1931.
All issues with 18 pochoir prints each except No 3/1931 which holds 15 plates (numbered 1-16, but no 8-9 is double).
All but one issue loose in binding, the 1931 issue with damaged cover, otherwise only slightly worn and with small tears in the thin paper covers, some light soiling to the margin of a couple of plates.
Trés Parisien, issued between 1920-1936, was a haute couture magazine showcasing the latest trends in French fashion including designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli and Jacques Heim amongst others. The magazine is foremost known for its beautiful pochoir plates made under the artistic direction of G.P Joumard.
