Somewhat worn contemporary (?) full leather, on covers the gilt super-exlibrisof Charles Le Goulx de la Berchère, inner gilt borders, gilt edges of covers, spine in six compartments, some small damages at head and foot, all edges gilt. Minor foxing. Some marginal annotations. Signature of Thore Virgin and his bookplate on first endpapers.

Charles Le Goulx de la Berchère (1647-1719), doctor in theology at Sorbonne, archbishop of Narbonne 1703, bookcollector and bibliophile.

Probably from one of the editions of the Vitré bible, Paris about 1651-1652.
