MAP OF CHINA. Zonghua renmin gongheguo ditu. The Map of the People´s Republic of China. 1979 (?).
China with an inset of The South China Sea.
Large folding map 113 x 163 cm. Together with a pink paper cover with the text "Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo Ditu" meaning Map of the Repulic of China and "Ditu Chubanse" (which probably mean colour printed).
Probably published in 1979 (since that year is printed in two places in the margin). The text is all in Chinese.
Interestingly the inset of the South China Sea marks all of that body of water as Chinese right up to the coasts of the Phillippines, Malaysia and Vietnam. Another inset depicts the world with China in the centre.
The map in very nice condition.
Cover partly damaged, one part torn of but preserved.
